Adelaide Band song reviews. Some of these songs have been out for a while but deserve to be talked about and applauded. Most music I hear coming out of South Australia is high quality, skillful and entertaining. Sometimes long-ass reviews are not warranted, just listen to the music. Thought I'd trial a song review section for That Adelaide Band and bring to your attention music that you may like! Get behind Adelaide bands. now is the time, they need your support more than ever.

Molly Rocket – ASPHALT

When Georgie sings ‘I haven’t felt this good in years’, we believe her! This single Molly Rocket put out a while back still stands the test of time and with it’s fuzzy guitar brilliance it’s going to be around for a while yet – Forever I’m predicting!

Now I’m here – Lily Appelt

A cruisy, gentle tune that hints of some Grizzly Bear really provides a wonderful, melodic feel that will reel you in from start to finish.

Stars that hold us – Tonix

Sammi Keogh knows how to sing – Like, really knows. Her vocals coupled with the electronica-pop smarts of this song is transcending – Indie, captivating.

We come from Stars – Submerge

A heavy, grinding song produced my Sylvia Massey(Tool), hints of some nu-metal but then darts off into progressive rock territory especially when the drums change direction and the riffs begin.

I don’t Wanna know – Caressa

Caressa do what they do and they do it extremely well, it’s a country-fried pop jangle from start to finish – if the spirit of this song isn’t enough you’ll be advised Caressa have three singers and it’s this combination that makes Caressa stand out

Honey, Honey – Ryan Martin John

With some wonderful eluding to Neil Young I just love the production on Ryan’s track here and it’s smooth as butter, absolutely beautiful.

Mustang Crescent – Hayli

Really appreciate the emotion in this song, it’s driving sensibilities and how it tells a story that will take you along for the ride. We believe you Hayli.

Bounce – Natasha Bianca

If R&B music has home where it’s seductiveness is to thrive – Natasha Bianca does it better than anyone. This should be a dance banger in the club – Over and over.

Vagbond Kids – Piratboi

A side project for Monz lead singer of indie-punk five-piece TV Therapy, she’s gone out on her lonesome to pump out some quality electronica that’s butter for your ears. Piratboi knows how to drop, I’d love to see her go bigtime.

Burn – Vermantics

Adelaide rock quartet Vermantics have been knocking on the ‘a definite next big thing’ tag for a long time now. They went and conquered the UK market recently, what is next! This song is huge!

Still no justice – DEM MOB

Gotta give it up for Dem Mob, a hip hop act with a difference, their rhymes, skillset and word is what I will call ‘ The next Hilltop Hoods’. They’ll take it far, just watch. ‘Still no justice’ has a message and a strong one regarding indigenous Australians deaths in custody. I’m following and you should too.

Driveway – After Dark

After Dark have a classical edge with a rock feel and this song really highlights this especially when Charlotte opens her mouth and those massive vocals come out to play. After Dark have such a Euro sound, they’d probably have an audience over seas for sure.

Beatles V Stones – The Audrey’s

When Taasha starts singing you know you’re listening to the Audrey’s their music is that distinctive. Beatles V Stones isn’t exactly a departure from the classic swagger they’re known for but it’s really exciting to hear Audrey’s in 2026

Malibu – Wanderers

By far one of their best, so catchy! Dusty is singing stellar in this song and it just drifts along so smoothly, a Summery song when it goes into the chorus ‘Carry the Weight upon your shoulder’ and then the Sax – Attention!

Darkness at the door- Nakatomi Plaza

Adelaide trio Nakatomi Plaza remind me of early 70’s British Metal, when I first started listening to Three D Radio they had a program called PowerSurge(still on) and they’d play the best of British metal, and it’s a flashback in time, a time where metal bands had pyro, studded vests and a whole lot of attitude. Dig this

A Familiar Place – Eva Rundle

Eva has stepped into electronica territory even reminiscent of Pet Shop Boys with her song ‘A Familiar Place’, and the vibe of this genre really suits her voice. A great song!

Highly Addictive – Bitchspawn

Bitchspawn have been at it for a while now and I feel they have progressed so much over the years and writing really strong songs – This is a tribalistic, punk extravaganza. Check out their EP on streaming services

Just say you love me – Piper Wallin

For reasons unknown why this song isn’t on high rotation on mainstream radio is beyond me it’s a delightful pop song that has so much merit. Production is crystal clear, this is destined for stardom.

Crying at the Beach – Bella Brinkworth

Haven’t heard anyone sing quite like Bella. Such diversity and you can hear it in this song. Bella does it tastefully, she’s a story teller and will lure you in until you’re a massive fan. Because, you will be after listening to this song
